William Michael "Willy" Strunk, 74, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia. He was born December 8, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of William H. Strunk and Juanita (Perry) Strunk, who preceded him in death.

Willy was a proud graduate of Westfield High School in LaCrosse, Indiana, Class of 1968. After high school, he continued his education and became a keypunch operator. Over the years, he worked in maintenance and supervision, including positions with Lucas Oil Dome and King Cole Hotel Management, where he served as a maintenance supervisor.

Willy enjoyed the simple things that brought people together, playing card games, working a Rubik's Cube, and sharing time with family and friends. He also loved the excitement of NASCAR, especially trips to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and he enjoyed attending music concerts.

Willy is survived by three sisters, Judy Bennett and Debbie Strunk, both of Sedalia, and Connie Bain of Lansing, Michigan; two sons, Michael Strunk and Bobby Strunk, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; and two grandchildren, Kyle Strunk of Sedalia and Emily Strunk of Indianapolis, Indiana.

In addition to his parents, Willy was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Robert, and Daniel Strunk; and two sisters, Rhonda Mittenburg and Barbara Jo Haines.

The family will hold a celebration of life gathering at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
