Tim Halbert passed away on November 15, 2024, in Abilene, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South, Abilene, Texas. Inurnment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Tim was born on November 16, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas to his loving parents Edgar and Myrtle Halbert. He married the love of his life Annie Halbert on February 19, 2011, they spent every day together for 13 years.
Tim graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1974 with Bachelor of Science degree. He was a dedicated entrepreneur, business owner of Banyan Internation Corp. in Abilene, Texas and several chain of car washes in San Antonio, Texas. He was an auto enthusiast, master plumber, electrician, mechanic and pipe fitter showcasing his diverse skill set and his pursuit of knowledge in various trades. His interest went beyond automotive work, he found great pleasure in building and working on cars and had a keen ear as a sound engineer as a hobby. He was a man of remarkable wit and grit; Tim was known for his loving and caring nature. He strived to bring joy and laughter to those around him, leaving a lasting impression on friends and family alike.
Tim is survived by his wife Annie Halbert; his children Jeff Halbert (Kirsten), Melissa King (Will), Lori Wright (Bob) and Brittany Pearson (Will); grandchildren, Madison King and Brooklyn King; his Brother Karlton Halbert (Annette); his sister Karen Willingham and many other family members.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Karlton Halbert and Myrtle Mae Halbert.
Tim will be deeply missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
