Timothy DeWayne Herman, age 70, of Carrollton, GA, moved to his eternal home in Heaven on Sunday, November 10, 2024. Tim was born October 13, 1954, son of the late DeWayne Charles Herman and Mary Sommer Herman of Miller, SD. In addition to his parents, Tim is pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents, Mike and Edith Herman of Miller, SD; by his paternal step-grandmother, Beth Herman of Big Lake, MN; his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Helen Sommer of Miller; by his in-laws, Clarence and Sara Redding of Temple, GA, and by his brother-in-law, Bernie Huisman, of Miller, SD.
Tim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lisa Redding Herman of Carrollton, GA; sister, Ginger Huisman of Miller, SD; brother and sister-in-law, Larry (Dianne) Herman of Miller, SD; his sister and brother-in-law, Jill (Bob) Laird of Sioux Falls, SD; his brother, Patrick Herman of Miller, SD; and by his brother-in-law, Randy Redding of Temple, GA. Tim is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and a number of other relatives.
Tim was a 1972 graduate of Miller High School. He would later go on to graduate from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD and The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD.
No services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dana's Doghouse Rescue (Mailing address: 3496 Lakeshore Dr., Smyrna, GA 30082).
