Stoughton - Timothy J. Janisch, age 67, passed away on March 24, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on July 22, 1957 in Portage, Wisconsin the son of Howard and Eunice (Straseski) Janisch.

Tim married Cherilyn Benschop on June 18, 1983 at First Lutheran Church in Stoughton. Together they had 3 sons; Chris (Lily), Matt, and Michael. Tim was very loving and caring man, he enjoyed nature and caring for the local wildlife. He worked for Millfab, Inc. in the early 1990s and was the recipient for the Corporate Safety Award. Tim loved Halloween and was well known for his grand displays. He enjoyed supporting his boys including attending their football games where they coached, going to concerts, Brewer games, and supporting his Seattle Seahawks.

He is survived by his wife Cherilyn; son's; Chris (Lily), Matt, and Michael; brothers, Troy (Carol), Charles (Carrie); sister Sherrie Janisch; and brother in-law Brian (Jody Cook) Benschop. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Red and Bev Benschop; brothers, Howard and Tom; sisters, Colette Janisch and Heidi Techau.

Memorial services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the Dane County Humane Society or Misfit Felines.
