Tim A Jones Obituary (1958 - 2025)
Timothy A Jones, age 66, of South Bend, IN, passed away on October 25, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1958, to JoAnn and Rex Jones.
Tim graduated from Mishawaka High School and went on to spend several decades working as a maintenance technician before retiring. He would later work part-time at the American Legion #303 during his retirement, providing maintenance and custodial services. He took great pride in keeping the facility clean, safe, and welcoming.
Tim approached life with humility and grace - working hard and showing kindness without seeking attention. Known as a dog's best friend, he had a special way with animals and a heart full of compassion toward them. He shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Guinness, who brought endless joy and companionship into his life.
Tim loved the outdoors, and some of his happiest moments were spent camping with his wife and their dog, surrounded by nature and the simple joys of life. When he wasn't camping, Tim could often be found at American Legion #303. This was like a second home to him - a place where he shared laughter, stories, and lasting friendships.
Tim is survived by his wife, Tracy L. Jones. Together for 39 years, they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and generosity. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Kristin (Jerry) Morris; their children Brianna (Anthony), Tyler (Rachel), and Gavin; his nephews Todd Godair, Chuck Kraner and niece JoAnn Wagner; brothers-in-law, TJ (Deborah) Bourdon and Victor (Lana) Richart; sister-in-law, Darci Braendel and mother-in-law, Margaret Komp.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, JoAnn and Rex, and sisters, Linda Jones and Pamela Kraner.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00pm – 6:00pm Sunday, November 16, 2025, at American Legion #303, 2503 E. Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545 in Tim's memory.
