Timothy Keane

Timothy John Keane beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, NYPD officer, and 9/11 first responder, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at his home in Del Webb, Orlando, Florida. He was 66 years old.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Tim was known for his strength, dependability and quiet bravery, balanced by a deep sensitivity and a sharp sense of humor. He had an unwavering dedication to his family and friends, and his presence brought warmth and stability to all who knew him.
A proud Navy veteran, Tim went on to serve as a New York City Police Officer with the 19 Precinct, dedicating 20 years to protecting and serving his community before retiring. As a 9/11 first responder, his courage and commitment stood as a testament to his character.
Tim was a die-hard Mets fan and loved watching football, often sharing those passions with his family. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who he adored.
He is survived by his devoted wife Mary (affectionately known as Kathy); his beloved children; son Shane and daughter Tanya and her husband Craig; and his cherished grandchildren, John Joseph, Fintan and Lillian. He is also survived by his brother Robert; his brother in-law and sister-in-law John and Shevaun; many loving nieces and nephews and his loving dog Spencer.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, John, and his brother, Michael.
