Timothy Kuang Shen Chao

In loving memory of Timothy Chao, who graced this world with his presence from October 19, 1932, until November 25, 2025. Timothy was more than just a man; he was a beacon of light, a Godly figure whose warmth enveloped all who had the privilege to know him. His smile, like a radiant ray of sunshine, brought comfort and joy to countless hearts, and his unwavering faith in God served as an anchor for many.
Timothy's journey in life was marked by an unyielding dedication to serving others. He was a stalwart in his community and a cherished husband, father, and grandfather. Always putting the needs of others before his own, Timothy made it his mission to uplift those around him, especially the young people who looked to him for guidance and inspiration.
Educated at Presbyterian Bible College in 1959 and later graduating from China Lutheran Seminary in Taiwan in 1967, Timothy was ordained as a pastor in 1969, embracing his vocation with fervor. His heart swelled with pride for his significant accomplishments, such as establishing a flourishing kindergarten business for the church in Taiwan and dedicating over forty years to serving both God and God's people. His efforts birthed two churches, which he entrusted to the next generation of pastors, ensuring that his legacy would endure through the ages.
Timothy's love for family was profound and boundless. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ruth Chao, and their loving children: Phoebe Ni and her husband Bill Ni, Gloria Ku and her husband Jeff Ku, Angel Chao and her husband Michael Zeller, and Daniel Chao and his wife Anna Chao. The legacy of Timothy lives on in the laughter and joy of his grandchildren: Amelia Ni, Bradley Ni, Christopher Ni, Rachael Ku, Marjorie Ku, Amanda Chao, Andrew Chao and Keanu Zeller
Beyond his dedication to faith and family, Timothy found solace and happiness in simple pleasures. He cherished reading, playing the harmonica, engaging in spirited matches of ping pong and Chinese chess, and nurturing his garden-a reflection of his nurturing spirit. Each hobby encapsulated his essence, a testament to a man who lived fully and generously.
Timothy Chao was truly an angel to his family and a pillar within his community. His legacy is woven into the hearts of those he loved and whom he served, a lasting reminder of kindness and compassion that shall not fade. As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary man, we celebrate the indelible mark he leaves behind-a life richly lived, a love profoundly shared.
