Timothy Larrabee Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hall Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Waldoboro on Jan. 22, 2026.
Timothy John Larrabee, a beloved son, brother, father, and master plumber, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in Union, Maine, at the age of 65. Born on April 4, 1960, in Rockland, Maine, Tim was the son of Murray A. and Sandra (Church) Larrabee. He grew up in Rockland, where he attended local schools and proudly graduated from Rockland District High School.

Tim served in the Army three times and held a deep pride in his service to his country. After his military career, he became a master plumber and founded TJ Plumbing, dedicating many years to helping others. Tim was known for his unwavering commitment to his craft, often assisting customers via FaceTime to troubleshoot their plumbing issues. His expertise extended even to fixing boilers while residing in a nursing home, a testament to his passion and determination.

Beyond his professional life, Tim had a love for farming - spending countless hours on his tractor, making hay, and bushhogging, finding joy in the simple pleasures of the land. He delighted in helping his brother David in the garage and shared many memories of his adventurous younger days spent four-wheeling and riding motorcycles. Tim was also a proud member of the American Legion Post #1 in Rockland, where he formed lasting friendships and memories.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, Murray and Sandra.

Tim is survived by his daughter, Skye Rust of Colorado; his son, Brandon Larrabee of Colorado; and his beloved siblings: David Larrabee and his wife Rebecca of Union, Darrell and his wife Elaine of Thomaston, Tony Larrabee of Washington state, Gary Larrabee of Louisiana, Dan Larrabee of Knox, Ben Larrabee of Union, and Murray Larrabee of Cushing along with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his dog, his pride and joy, Buttercup.

Tim will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Tim's life will be held in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tim's name to the Pope Memorial Humane Society, PO Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841.
