Timothy Joseph Lett

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy Joseph Lett, who left us on July 30, 2025, at the age of 75. A loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend, Timothy was a man whose life was filled with adventure, laughter, and a sense of humor that could light up any room.

Born on June 22, 1950, Timothy's passion for life and exploration was evident from an early age. He found joy in everything-from the thrill of flying airplanes and riding motorcycles to the adrenaline rush of roller coasters. Timothy's 30+ years with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as a Federal Aviation Inspector and pilot was not just a career, but a reflection of his love for the skies and his commitment to safety. He also shared his passion with others, teaching many to fly and inspiring countless people to chase their own dreams of aviation.

But it wasn't just his love for adventure that defined him. Timothy had an infectious sense of humor that never failed to brighten the day of those around him. He was a true jokester, always ready with a witty one-liner or a funny story. He loved hearing jokes and telling them, and his laughter was as much a part of his personality as his love for flying. To be in his presence was to be part of a never-ending celebration of life, full of fun, laughter, and good-natured teasing.

Timothy's generosity, warmth, and willingness to live life to the fullest were felt by everyone who knew him. His adventurous spirit and kind heart will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Lett (Wertz); his sister, Rebecca Lynn (Andrew); his nieces, Heidi Lynn, Carrie Lynn; and nephews Randy Lynn and Geoffrey Lynn, all of Kentucky. His family and friends will forever cherish the joy and laughter he brought into their lives.

A private memorial service for family and close friends to celebrate Timothy's life was held on August 1, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the animal shelter of your choice in Timothy's honor, reflecting his lifelong compassion for animals.

Though his final flight has taken him beyond the clouds, Timothy's spirit-along with the sound of his laughter-will forever echo in the hearts of all who loved him.
