Timothy M. Lightle, age 65 of Plymouth, Michigan passed away on January 15, 2023.
He was born October 6, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to his parents, the late Alfred and Dorothy (née Johnson) Lightle. He is the beloved and devoted husband of Cynthia ((née Gorton) Lightle; loving father of Anthony (Elizabeth) Lightle, Eric Lightle, Rachael (John) Shepherd, Brandon (Catherine) Lightle and Angela (Nathan) von Broda; proud grandfather of William Lightle, Sabrina Lightle, Vincent von Broda, Natalie Lightle, Emily Lightle, and Luke Lightle.
Tim enjoyed a 30-year career at the automobile transmission plant known as General Motors Romulus Powertrain. He enjoyed fishing and camping at the Monroe County KOA. He and Cynthia spent many weekends there with their young family. After their children became adults and on their own, Tim and Cindy would return to the Monroe County KOA for relaxing days of fishing.
When grandchildren came into the family, he loved watching them run and play and so enjoyed being a part of their activities too. They loved having him interact with them. They looked forward to their time with him and were eager to hear everything he had to say.
Prior to his illness, Tim and Cindy did a lot of traveling. Nothing compares to that feeling of seeing a new place for the first time. Every trip brought new experiences, trying new foods, meeting new people and most importantly, they gained wonderful memories from their travels.
Occasionally, Tim and Cindy enjoyed going to the casinos. It was fun just walking into a casino and experiencing the energy and the sounds of people having fun playing table games and slot machines and thinking about what they would do if they won the big jackpot! It was enjoyment that was pure fun and exciting for them.
