Timothy F. Matovich

Timothy F. Matovich, 79, of Westmoreland City, died Friday, December 12, 2025, at home. He was born November 12, 1946 in Greensburg, a son of the late George and Bessie (Bogonovich) Matovich and was also preceded in death by brothers George "Matt" Matovich, Richard K. Matovich and an infant sister Kathleen Matovich. Tim worked as a machinist at Westinghouse Electric, East Pittsburgh, and then in human resources for Bombardier, West Mifflin. He was a member of Holy Ascension Serbian Orthodox Church, Youngwood and had previously attended St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Monroeville. He was a member of Shidle Lodge, No. 601 F. & A. M., Irwin, for over 50 years, where he was past-master and served as a steward for many years. He was also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife Anna M. (Gnieski) Matovich; his children Timothy Matovich at home and Tina Brown and her husband Corey; his grandchildren Benjamin and Sydney Capezzuto, Brayden Akarman, and Victoria and Madeline Brown; his Godson Chad Giron; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, at WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, where a masonic funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Pomen Service at 7:45. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, in the funeral home with the Very Rev. Rumen Stoychev, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
