Timothy K. McCammon, 76, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
Born in Evansville, Indiana on March 3, 1949, Tim was the son of Norman B. and Dorothy E. (Miller) McCammon. He would grow up in Greencastle, Indiana and graduated from Greencastle High School with the class of 1967. Tim would then go on to graduate from Indiana State University in 1971 with a bachelor’s in education.
Through a blind date set up by friends, Tim met the love of his life, Rose Ann DuGranrut. He had graduated and she was currently enrolled at ISU. On August 12, 1972, the two joined as one in her hometown church, Milton Christian Church in Milton, Indiana. They would welcome three children and make Warsaw their home for the past 47 years.
Tim was a long-time employee of Zimmer and Bristol Myers Squibb, traveling and training others in IT and even getting the chance to visit Ireland. He would retire from Lake City Group in 2019. He was a U.S. Swimming Official for North-East Indiana for over 20 years and was an official for the 1992 U.S. Olympic Swimming Time Trials.
He was a very social person and was a great story teller. Tim was also a grammar fanatic, especially with his own family. He was an avid Cubs fan, and his family was his entire world. He was very proud of all of them and attended most of his kids’ and grandkids’ activities and sports. He would say “If we be meetin’, we be eatin’” and enjoyed every moment gathered together. The couple were faithful members of Warsaw First United Methodist Church, where Tim helped operate the sound system and played, helped coach at times, and kept score for the church softball league.
Tim is dearly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Rose Ann, of Warsaw; sons, John (Laurie) McCammon of Fort Wayne and Mike (Jenni) McCammon of Warsaw; daughter, Meaghan (Bryan Smith) McCammon of Goshen; 5 grandchildren: John (Samara) McCammon, Tyler (Tarann) Miller, Jaylen Miller, Sydnnee McCammon and DeLaney McCammon; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Jim (Mary) DuGranrut.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Dorothy, and sister, Karen McCammon.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
