Timothy Alan "Tim" McCarley

Timothy "Tim" Alan McCarley, 65, of Box Springs, GA died Monday, March 3, 2025 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 10, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Tim was born on June 18, 1959 in Phenix City, AL to Bill McCarley and the late Caroline Johnson Sweat. He worked as a foreman for Department of Transportation. He had a love for racing, NASCAR, and motorcycles. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, Herbert Shipp.
Tim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy McCarley of Box Springs, GA; son, W.L. McCarley (Lauren) of Box Springs, GA; brothers, Steven McCarely (Nancy) of Stockbridge, GA, Andy McCarley (Sarah) of Anaconda, MT; Sister, Michelle Carter (Chris) of Butler, GA; two grandchildren Wriggins and Luke; father, Bill McCarley (Judy) of Smith Station, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
