Sybil Dowds Obituary
Sybil was a loving wife and mother who deeply loved the Lord. She attended services at Westminster Presbyterian church for the 49 years she lived in Hot Springs, during this period she worked with her husband in his business. She loved to travel and after retirement, traveled to many worldwide destinations.
She was predeceased by her parents, one sister Sandra Beumer, and her stepson James B. Dowds Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband, one daughter Margaret (Scott) Dowds, and stepdaughters Judy Johnson and Laura Louis.
A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, February 10, 2026, at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian church 3819 Central Ave. Hot Springs AR 71913.

Sybil was a soft spoken sweet lady and my friend. We first met through our neighbors who were Jim´s parents and when Jim, Sybil and Meg moved to Hot Springs our daughters became best friends.
Sybil was a loving mother who was always supportive and involved in Meg´s activities....from church to Scouts.
My daughter especially remembers the wonderful meals Sybil prepared, as well as many fun memories in their home.
Sybil was a devoted loving Mother and wife as well as a caring Christian lady. She will be missed!
I´m thankful for many sweet memories of Sybil.
