Timothy David “Tim” McCarty, 66, Piney Flats, went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Tim was born on October 6, 1959, in Limestone; he was one of 4 siblings. He was a graduate of Daniel Boone High School. Tim worked for Eastman Chemical Company as a Senior logistics team manager; He retired in 2018 after 40 years of hard work and service. He was an avid biker with a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. Tim found great joy in the freedom of the open road. He also enjoyed car racing, especially Nascar races and watching the UT Vols play.

Family meant the world to Tim, he cherished them greatly, especially his wife, daughter and two special granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lee Etta McCarty and his brother, Steve McCarty.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lori Perkey McCarty; daughter, Amber McCarty Cummings; father, John McCarty; brothers, Ronny McCarty and Phil McCarty (Beverly); granddaughters, Lena and Remi Cummings and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park – Blountville Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm officiated by Pastor Jason Royston. Graveside services will follow in the Garden of Masonic.
