Timothy J. 'Tim' Midas

Timothy J. "Tim" Midas, 76, of Lansford, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, in the St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Marie "Mamie" (Kadilak) Kershner.

He was a graduate of Panther Valley High School, Class of 1968.

Tim worked as an independent contractor in carpentry and masonry.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a former member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Lansford, and a member of the Lansford American Legion Post 123 for 46 years, having served as a past Home Association president, as well as holding various other officer and committee positions throughout the years.

He was member of the American Fire Co. No. 1 of Lansford and was a former Lansford Borough Council member.

Tim was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Surviving are his son, Tim Midas, currently serving in the Coast Guard and residing in Arlington, VA; brothers, Tom Midas and his wife, Judy, of Summit Hill, and Thad Midas and his wife, Marie, of Palmerton; and a nephew, Zach Midas and his girlfriend, Megan Weber, of Bethlehem.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Tim's memory may be made to the American Legion Post 123, 3 W. Ridge St., Lansford, PA 18232.
