Timothy P. “Tim” Murphy, 46, of Upton and formerly of Foxboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the UMass Memorial University Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Jessica A. (Ramsey) Murphy.
Born in Norwood, Tim was a son of Joseph and Christine (Krupp) Murphy. He was raised in Foxboro and was a proud graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural High School, Class of 1998.
Tim was a man of deep faith and community involvement. Before his illness, he was a devoted member of the United Parish of Upton Church and an active Mason, having been a past member of the Benjamin Franklin Lodge. Professionally, Tim was a union member of IATSE Local 96, and worked as a stagehand at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in Worcester and DCU Center. He was also a former building superintendent of the Wesley Methodist Church in Worcester and previously worked with Davidson Trucking in Upton.
Tim was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and off the cuff humor and wit. He enjoyed wrenching on cars, staying busy with his hands, and meeting people while collecting scrap around town. Above all, Tim was a devoted family man, a loving husband, proud father, caring son, and loyal brother. He was a steadfast friend who would go out of his way to help anyone in need, at any time.
In addition to his adored wife Jessica, Tim is survived by his cherished children, Skylar, Ori, and Alaurra Murphy; his parents, Joseph and Christine Murphy; his brothers, Kevin Murphy and Steven Murphy and his wife Erin Morrell; his father-in-law, Walter Ramsey; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy, Walter, and Brent Ramsey. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.
Tim was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Cynthia Ramsey.
