Timothy "Tim" Murray, age 45, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on January 15, 2026. Born on November 30, 1980, in the coastal town of Carrabelle, Florida,

Tim brought warmth, humor, and quiet compassion into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Tim graduated from high school in 1999 and attended Tallahassee Community College. Early in his career, he worked at the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, where he formed lifelong friendships. His professional path later led him to real estate and web design, where he spent 12 years with Homes.com, contributing his expertise to the nationally recognized home-buying platform. Later, Tim joined the Florida Department of Children and Families, serving as a Crime Intelligence Analyst, where his work helped secure safe placements for children entering foster care and adoption-work that reflected his deep sense of responsibility and care for others.

Tim had a rare and effortless sense of humor, perfectly timed and often delivered with a knowing smile or a gentle remark that lingered long after the moment passed. His quick wit brought levity to even the heaviest days. Yet, even more enduring than his humor was his kindness. Tim consistently showed up for people- thoughtfully, reliably, and without expectation. He listened when others needed to be heard, offered help before being asked, and treated everyone with sincere respect. His presence was calm and steady, a source of comfort in a fast-moving world.

When not working, Tim enjoyed a quiet, simple life surrounded by friends, family, YouTube, and his beloved dog Zeus, a husky–Rottweiler mix and his constant companion. He was fascinated by rockets and space, especially launches from Cape Canaveral. From an early age, if a launch might be visible from Tallahassee, Tim would find a spot-down the street, down the block, wherever he could-to witness the awe of space exploration.

Tim was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Antoinette "Toni" Johnson, who passed away in September 2015. Notably, Tim's homegoing occurred on what would have been his mother's birthday-a poignant and deeply meaningful coincidence. He is survived by his father, Timothy Murray, Sr.; his life partner of 25 years, Milton Perinon; his aunt, Susan and uncle, Billy; extended family, including the Millender family; and a wide circle of friends and loved ones who cherished him deeply.

Tim was a significant and cherished member of the Perinon family. He was deeply loved by his surrogate family, including "Mama" Beryl Perinon, whom he affectionately called Mama Beryl; sisters, Marie and Luz Perinon; and brother, Brian Perinon. Together with Milton, Tim embraced a special role in the life of Ruben Perinon, whom they lovingly regarded as a son. Ruben brought Tim immense joy and pride, especially during his time attending Florida A&M University.

Tim also leaves behind lifelong friends who held a special place in his heart, including Lisa, whom he met in college, as well as Emily, Liz, Aleese, Rae, Cindy and Heather. To all who knew him, Tim was known for his quiet nature, his strong and reassuring presence, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. No matter the circumstances-sleet, snow, tornado, or hurricane -Tim always went the extra mile.

Tim made ordinary days better simply by being there. Though his absence is deeply felt, his gentleness, generosity, humor, and love will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.
