Timothy Joseph O'Brien, 67 passed away peacefully at his home on October 30, 2025.

Born on July 25, 1958 in Darby, Tim spent most of his life in Ridley Park and had resided in Fort Myers, FL for the past 10 years.

Tim was a graduate of St James Catholic High class of 1976. He worked over 30 years as a Merchant Marine for Arco/Conoco Phillips, starting as a messman at the age of 18, working his way up to Chef Cook. He was 4 for 4 Philly sports fan, especially of the Eagles and known for texting how he felt during the games. Tim was also an avid reader and loved visiting the beach in Wildwood for many years. During the trips to Wildwood, he invented the use of kids red wagon to get chairs to the beach and participated in multiple shore triathlons.

He loved his family, especially nephews and nieces. He was the family picture taker and will be remembered for his sense of humor. You couldn't spend time with Tim without 'tears in your eyes from laughter'. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gregory R. and Alice M. O'Brien and niece, Beth O'Brien

Survived by brothers, Gregory R. O'Brien III (Donna), Patrick F. O'Brien (Carol) and Thomas S. O'Brien (Laura). Nephews, Gregory R. O'Brien IV and Patrick O'Brien. Nieces, Kate O'Brien, Kellie E. Bell (Alexander), Kathryn H. Ackerman and Charlotte M. Ackerman.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call 9 to 10:15 AM. Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
