Timothy O'Connor

Timothy James O'Connor, 72, of Chicago, passed away in his home on November 17, 2024.
Born on April 14, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, to Marie and Joe O'Connor, Tim spent his early years in the Windy City. He was lured into marriage in 1981 by his new next-door neighbor, Catherine, who would surprise him with food and treats while he worked on his Chevy Nova SS. They built a loving partnership and raised four children together, creating a home filled with love, chaos, determination, and faith.
Tim devoted every moment of his time to his business and full-time job, working tirelessly toward a secure future for his family. Though he began his life in Florida with little more than his work ethic and determination, Tim built a life of stability and opportunity for his family through sheer perseverance and unwavering resolve. Any spare time he found was directed toward maintaining their home or being present for his children, whether it was supporting their endeavors or simply being there when they needed him most. Even though they didn't know it, he was always supporting their endeavors in his heart. Relaxation was never his priority-Tim was a man who found fulfillment in hard work and productivity, always focused on providing for his family.
Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Catherine; his children, Erica, Matthew, Rebekah, and Timothy; and his cherished grandchildren, Ella and Asher. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary, Lori, and Peggy, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
A memorial service honoring Tim's life will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, allowing family and friends an opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate the legacy of a remarkable man.
His kindness, selflessness, wisdom, and goofy humor will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
