It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we share that Timothy Nils Perdoni passed away on April 24, 2024, after a brief illness. Born on June 20, 1948, in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Joe and Betty Perdoni. At a young age Tim moved to Fairfield, California, with his parents, brothers Jim and Joe and sister Lillian. Graduating from Armijo High School in 1966 Tim became the highest-ranking ROTC Officer at the school earning him a spot in the Who's Who in America High School Student's publication, of which we were all very proud. After graduation Tim joined the United States Navy, doing a tour of Vietnam, assigned to the Air Sea Rescue, Underwater Demolition Team, and serving on the USS Jouett, a guided missile frigate. Tim was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device (1960). After his discharge from the Navy in 1968, Tim worked for Star Airline Catering, Ball Metal and the Department of Corrections. With 25 years of State Service as a Correctional Officer, Tim retired from the Department of Corrections at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville. Tim is survived by his sons, Joey Corley (Christine) and Richie Perdoni, grandchildren, Matthew, Julia and Gianna, brother Joe Perdoni (Bonnie) and sister Lillian Perdoni. Tim is predeceased in death by his parents Joe and Betty and brother Jim. Tim had a heart of gold and was always there for anyone who needed help or just a listening ear, he will be dearly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 11:00 am. The following day, Thursday, May 23,2024, at 1:30 pm he will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon. Refreshments will follow the ceremony afterwards.
