Timothy "Tim" Delano Rogers, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, cousin, volunteer fireman, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, surrounded by family. He was a man of quiet strength, steady humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved - someone who found joy in life's simple pleasures: a quiet morning outdoors, a long open road, and the company of family and friends.
Born in East St. Louis, Illinois on March 25, 1958, Tim grew up in Lively Grove, Hecker and Marissa Illinois, worked hard his entire life and took pride in every mile he drove. For more than 40 years, he worked as an over-the-road truck driver, traveling across the country and finding comfort in the peace of open highways. For several years, he owned and operated his own car-hauling business - a reflection of his determination, independence, and strong work ethic. He also served his community as a volunteer fireman, giving his time and energy to help others whenever they needed it most.
When he wasn't working, Tim was happiest outdoors - hunting, fishing, or just exploring peaceful country roads. Duck hunting was one of his greatest passions, and his best memories came from sharing that tradition with his grandson, Logan and best friend. From the time Logan was just four years old, the two became inseparable hunting partners, sharing early mornings in the blind, quiet laughter, and stories that will be remembered forever.
Tim also loved to barbecue and travel with his wife, Helene. Together they enjoyed their favorite destinations - Branson, Missouri, and mountain springs across the United States - where the pace was slow, the views were peaceful, and life felt just right. Whether at home or on the road, Tim's greatest happiness came from time spent with Helene and their family.
He will be remembered not only for his hard work and dedication, but for his warmth, loyalty, humor, and love of life's simple moments. Tim was an amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, a steadfast brother, cousin, and friend - the kind of man who showed up when needed, gave more than he took, and never lost his sense of gratitude for the journey.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Helene Rogers; his children and grandchildren, including his grandson and best friend, Logan; his siblings; cousins; and many close friends who will always carry his memory in their hearts.
A private cremation will be handled by Monarch Cremation, and a celebration of Tim's life will be held at a later date.
Tim Rogers lived a full and meaningful life - one built on love, hard work, and the simple beauty of the open road. His laughter, guidance, and presence will be deeply missed. His memory will continue to ride along with all who knew and loved him.
