Timothy Scheffler, 64 of Elbow Lake passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Timothy (Tim) Joseph Scheffler was born on December 31, 1960, in Monroe, MI to the late Harley Sr. and Beverly (Bourassa) Scheffler. He lived in Carleton, MI until moving to Alexandria, MN on a dairy farm outside of Alexandria. He then graduated from Jefferson High School then continued his education at Alexandria Area Vocational Technical Institute in Alexandria, MN where he graduated with a degree in Diesel Mechanics in May of 1982. Then moved to Montana for a couple of years but soon returned to the Alexandria area and started working for Case IH. Moved unto working for Riley Brothers in ditch witch service and settling into a job at Glenwood Implement/John Deere until 2011 until his health started to deteriorate. He continued doing work on farm machinery for various clients on his 8-acre home outside of Forada, MN, which he loved dearly watching nature flourish! He even tilled some of his land to keep busy. Before this time, he met the love of his life, Jordy Goodwin (Schneider) and were married on July 24, 2004. They then both loved that land together till he could no longer access their beloved home due his health deteriorating even more then made the move to Elbow Lake, MN where Jordy became is sole caregiver till his passing.

Tim loved Nascar Racing, WWF Wrestling, watching movies especially his favorites Field of Dreams, Disney’s Frozen and Cars with Nater. Actually, the last movie he watched with Jordy was the latest Disney movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! He also loved having fun turning wrenches on race cars for Chris Riley on the racetrack at the Douglas County Fair Grounds in Alexandria, MN. He also came along with the pit crew with Chris to Wissota in Cedar Lake Speedway in WI!

Tim passed away peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital on July 2, 2025, after a long battle with heredity ataxia. He is survived by his wife Jordyce (Jordy), all of Jordy’s siblings, brother, Harley Jr. (Julie) of Forada, sisters, Tamara Scheffler (Tim’s twin) of Perry, GA, Deb Scheffler of Smithville, TN, nephews, Sean, Andy Brelje, niece, Tarron Webber and her daughter Kerrigan. Also surviving Tim are some of the most important people to him and Jordy and that is his best friend Greg Dropik, his wife Denise and their son Lars whom Tim and Jordy had the honor of being his godparents. Faye Giese and Madeline Anderson were constant support team for Jordy and Tim during his health struggles. Also, Tim’s special angel respite nurse, Heather Reeve whom Tim grew to love as she cared for him while Jordy took some much-needed breaks of 24/7 care-giving. Also, Jordy’s siblings who often stepped up to give love and support when needed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Stephen, brother, Jeff Scheffler and nephew, Billy Scheffler and in laws, Alphonse and Leona Schneider.

A private burial will be taking place at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Flensburg and a celebration of his life will be announced to his family and friends privately for an August date.

Also, special thanks go out to Grant County Sheriff’s Department and paramedics, doctors and nurses of Lake Region Hospital, Elbow Lake for assisting the 911 call.
