Timothy P. "Toots" Stohl, 69, of Colona passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025 at his home.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Timothy was born August 7, 1956 in Geneseo, Ill. the son of William and Anne (Westerlund) Stohl. He married Virginia Massingill March 20, 1976 in Colona, Ill. Tim was a master of his plastering trade but could do any job big or small. He worked with his father Bill Stohl and Sons Plastering and later owned Quality Plastering. He also taught plastering in Macomb for six years. Tim was always helpful, very generous, and always had a smile on his face. He Loved spending time with his family and was the best dad and grandpa.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; children, Matt Stohl, Josh (Amy) Stohl, Brandy, (Jamey) Martin, and Jake (Kayla) Stohl; grandchildren, Rowdy, Mavrick, and Oaken Martin; Henry, William, Theodore, and Ruby Stohl, and one on the way; siblings, Annette (Brad) Willims, Jeff Stohl, Charlie Stohl, Mitch (Inge) Stohl, Mary Slaughter, Chris Stohl, Ben (Donna) Stohl, Teresa (Ron) Miller, Laura Garwood, Pat (Sheri) Stohl, Brad (Sara) Stohl, and Sarah (Dave) Blader.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Greg Stohl.

I met Tim and his wife when I stayed at one of there neighbors house, I had health issues and they were very nice to me and went out of there way to make my stay at my friend's was good. They didn't even know me yet they were very kind. You don't see that in neighbors . Thank you, I Wish you and your family comfort and peace while you are grieving. Sorry for the loss of him for alot of people not just his family.

It was an honor and a privilege to have known Tim over a decade! During this time he shared kindness and honesty with me...
Tim and I had many conversations ~ most of which he was teaching me something (even if he did swipe my tools and flashlights) ~ he was patient. Tim was quiet yet showed extreme confidence and was respected by myself and my family...he will be missed by all of us!!

he was a master at his craft.he did an awesome job on our house in port byron.so sad he left us at such a young age.he will be greatly missed
