Timothy J Baxter, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2025. He was born in Austin, MN to Harvey and Erma (Street) Baxter on March 21, 1941. He graduated from Austin High School and attended Winona State College with a wrestling and Track scholarship. He then attended Dunwoody Institute studying mechanical drafting. Tim worked in a variety of jobs at Hormel, Valmont Industries, selling irrigation equipment for Diamont Water Wells and then worked for 18 years at Potlach in drafting and as a maintenance supervisor.
After retirement, he began his next life working at the Pines at Grandview mowing the fairway, for the next 26 years, retiring again at age 82.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting pheasants, fishing, Euchre, poker games, golf, living on the lake, Bassing 4th of July celebrations, and sunrises and sunsets.
Tim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy, children; Andrea, Heidi (Jim), Chris (Esme) and Ryan, five grandchildren; Tyler (Jessi), Hanna, Connor, Cole, and Kate, great granddaughter Avery, and other special family; Barb (Denny), Tim (Barb), Anne (Mike), Steve, Theresa (John), Mike (Lisa), and Pat, 11 nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Tim was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Tim was a kind, loving and compassionate man. In lieu of flowers, or memorials, the family requests that an act of kindness be made with Tim in mind.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
