Timothy (Tim) Wynn Morris, age 73, of Jackson, TN, passed away Monday morning, October 28, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN, with Bro. Carl White officiating. Burial will follow at the Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel.
Tim was born in Humboldt, TN, on May 14, 1951, to Benny and Eva Morris. He married the love of his life, Sandra, on March 20, 1970. They enjoyed 54 years of love together.
He was a man of many talents and a jack of all trades. At the age of 19, Tim was drafted into the U.S. Army and served for a brief time before he was honorably discharged to help his father with the family farm. Throughout his working years, Tim owned Specialty Truck Sales, served as manager of Shellabarger Farms, built cotton module trucks as owner of Morris Module Movers, was part owner of Jackson Dragway, invented a farm spray rig with Tri-way Ag for which he received a patent, and served as founder and owner of Custom Ag Services. Tim was also a retired Captain at Madison County Fire Station 14 and hauled cotton modules for various cotton gins in the surrounding area. He retired from Custom Ag Services in 2016.
Tim was a man of deep faith who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was an active member of Mercer Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 20 years. He enjoyed flying remote controlled planes, drag racing, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Eva Hardin Morris, and his 2 brothers, Tony Joe Morris and Elton Morris. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Rochelle Morris; his son, Dale Morris (Jacklyn); his daughter, Dana Heidelberg (Jim); his sisters, Juanette Pigue and Susan Kennedy; his brother, Gary Morris; his six grandchildren: Daniel Heidelberg (Amber), Trey Allen (Ashley), Abbie Marchbanks (Lee), Dillon Heidelberg (Rachel), TJ Morris (Felecia), and Lauren Wilson (Dylan); and his 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service are Daniel Heidelberg, Dillon Heidelberg, Trey Allen, TJ Morris, Lee Marchbanks & Dylan Wilson.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the AseraCare Hospice team and nurses and to all of the family and friends who prayed for and visited Tim during his sickness.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
