Timothy "Tim" Thomas Opper, Age 75, of Wausau, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at his home, with his family. He was born April 16, 1950, in Wausau, to the late Gilbert and Bette Mae Opper.
Tim graduated from Wausau High School and then obtained his Associate Degree. He worked for over 30 years at Kolbe & Kolbe Windows, where he served as Vice President, before his retirement in 2004. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Elks lodge #248 in Wausau. He enjoyed yard work, especially gardening, where he tended to his beautiful backyard flowers, Muskie fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family, including winters in Florida.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret "Peggy" Opper; his son, Shad (Tawnya Gonzales); his brother, Peter (Maureen "Moe) and Sister-in-law, Annie Opper; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Aaron.
A Memorial Gathering in Tim's honor will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd at Brainard Funeral Home, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston, from 9:00 am to 11:00 AM with a service beginning at 11:00 AM.
