Timothy Wedow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCabe Funeral Home - Derry on Aug. 16, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Timothy Mark Wedow, 52, of Derry, formerly from Rochester, NY was called to his heavenly home on August 15, 2025 at 7:52AM, to be joyfully reunited with his mother, MaryAnne Heinkel Wedow, his brother, Michael Wedow, and other beloved family. Timothy went to the lord after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. He was a devoted Catholic his entire life, Timothy lived with faith, humor, and a deep love for those around him.

Born on October 3, 1972 in Rochester, NY, Timothy was the cherished son of Mark Wedow (wife, Rene) and the late MaryAnne Heinkel Wedow. Timothy remained close with many friends through childhood, focused on his community in Derry, PA that he called home, Timothy worked faithfully for Master Lee, dedicating his career there until his passing since 1996. He was a proud Pittsburgh sports fan, a lover of history, an admirer of Homer Simpson ("D'oh"), an impressive bowler, golfer, a dear friend, and a spirited karaoke singer who could light up any room. Above all, Timothy was a family man who believed that laughter and connection were just as important as hard work.

On October 10, 1998, Timothy married the love of his life, Angelia Wedow, becoming not only a husband but also a father by choice to her two sons, Mark Wayne Peck and Nicholas Alexander McNutt. Together Angel and Tim welcomed three beautiful children: Haley Marie Wedow, Hannah Joan Wedow, and Timothy Michael Wedow. Timothy's devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and his joy will forever be found in the bonds he nurtured with his five children, and eight grandchildren, which soon is to be nine.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Angelia; his children, Mark (Kylie), Nicholas (Ashley), Haley (Carson), Hannah (Anthony), and Timothy Michael; his nine beloved grandchildren; his father, Mark (Rene) Wedow; and many other relatives and friends who were blessed to know him.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday August 19, from 4-7pm in the McCabe Funeral Home 300 W 3rd Ave, Derry, PA 15627 with a blessing service at 7 pm. Online condolences may be made at mccabefuneralhomespa.com

Yesterday

To the Wedow family and fellow co-worker / friend Mark Wedow, having just suffered a loss of my own, I understand the pain and grief you must be suffering. I know life is not fair and too many good people are stricken by things that we have no control over. We now can just hope that they are no longer suffering an in a better place. Stay strong my friend, George Fleischer Pittsford NY.
