Timothy A. Ziemke, 74, residing in Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, July 1, 2025 at home following a lengthy illness with his wife, DiAnne at his side.
Timothy was born on February 14, 1951 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Lloyd O. and Shirley R. (Kenne) Ziemke.
Timothy graduated from Perkins High School. He was employed with Erie Sand & Gravel in Sandusky for 25 years and retired from Berry Plastics in Monroeville as a material handler in 2016. Timothy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling, working in the yard, enjoying summers, watching Cleveland sports teams and spending time with his family and friends.
Timothy is survived by his wife, DiAnne (Skinner) Ziemke, whom he married on August 15, 1987. He is also survived by his daughter, Wendy (William) Day of Minnesota; grandchildren, KasondraAnn, William and Zachary; great-grandson, BentleyDale; brother, Gary (Rose) Ziemke of Port Clinton, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by his brothers, David and Lloyd "Butch" Ziemke.
At Tim's requests there will be no services. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
