Tina Marie Belt, 62, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 12, 1963 in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Jon and Shirley (Mason) Chapman. She married Byron Belt on August 14, 1982 and together they enjoyed forty-two years of marriage centered on their family.
Tina was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she found great joy in creating meaningful memories with them. Tina was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially during camping trips that brought everyone together. In her free time, Tina loved spending time in the kitchen, where she found joy in canning and cooking homemade meals. She shared a special bond with her mother, and together they looked forward to attending craft shows each year.
Tina dedicated her career to helping others, serving as the Executive Director of the Housing Authority. She especially loved working with all the residents, always offering a compassionate ear and a helping hand. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Her warmth and spirit touched many lives, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her most.
Tina will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Byron Belt; her two children, Whitney Belt and wife, Kim, and Britney Wagner and husband, Nathaniel; four grandchildren, Macie, Theo, Cade, and Kyson; parents, Jon and Shirley (Mason) Chapman; sister, Robin Chapman; niece and nephew, Samantha and John.
Tina was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Helen "Massey" Mason; paternal grandparents, Thelma Leach and John Henry Chapman; mother-in-law, June Belt; brother-in-law, Brian Belt; cousin, Sherry Lynn Loehrlein.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Father Bill Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tina's memory to Linda E. White Hospice House. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
