Tina LoBiondo Obituary

Tina Ercole LoBiondo

March 11, 1965 - April 26, 2025

Tina Ercole LoBiondo, of Del Ray Beach, FL and Ventnor City, passed away at her Florida home on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Tina turned 60 on March 11th.

The wife of retired Congressman Frank A. LoBiondo, she was born in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Joan Slywka Ercole. Tina and her family moved to Las Vegas from Chicago when she was about seven years old. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a dual major in Accounting and Finance. She also held a Master's Degree in Finance from UNLV.

After working as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service, she accepted a position as an internal auditor with the Golden Nugget Casino, Las Vegas. She was part of the opening management team of the Mirage in 1989 as a financial analyst, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. She was charged by the late Steven Wynn to study the wedding chapel business in Las Vegas. She opened and operated the first wedding chapel within a resort, including the Wedding Chapels at Treasure Island. Still used, it has become the model currently utilized in other casinos.

In 1999, she began working for Boyd Gaming is Las Vegas and developed their first website, "Boyd AC." She was the sixth member of the development team for the Boyd's project in Atlantic City which became the Borgata Casino, Resort and Spa. Tina became the creative and driving force for the development of the spa and retail component at the resort and later helped to attract the restaurants to join in the casino's expansion. A proud accomplishment was helping to design the current Water Club and Spa Toccare at Borgata.

Her career expanded in 2009 when she obtained her New Jersey Real Estate license. She joined Farley and Ferry Real Estate and was a Circle of Excellence Award recipient in multiple years. She also received her Florida Real Estate License in 2015 and happily served clients in both NJ and Florida.

Tina met Frank in 2002. They were inseparable and married in 2004. She was always supportive of his charitable endeavors both in his home district of Southern New Jersey and in Washington. As a lover of politics, she was never bashful about expressing her opinion. She enjoyed her time traveling with her husband to Washington and helping give congressional tours.

Her community activism allowed her to support worthy causes such as the St. Leonard's Tract Association and the Ventnor Fountain Foundation where she was currently that organization's vice president. She served as a mentor to the local Boy's and Girl's Club and enjoyed helping those less fortunate.

Her dogs were her pride and joy. Her Weimaraner, Lola, after a cancer diagnosis became a service dog who Tina took to visit the pediatric cancer ward at Shore Hospital and adults at Gilda's Club. She supported the Humane Society, both financially and by volunteering her time.

Up until a few years ago, Tina was an avid runner and participated in a number of 5K runs while supporting different charitable causes.

Tina performed at the GateWay Playhouse in Somers Point. She enjoyed participating in theater as a way of honoring her parents; her mother, who was a vocalist and her father, who was a musician.

Another passion of Tina's was cooking. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, mostly cooking to share with others. She would casually make meals and then deliver them to friends and others as a simple and kind gesture.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by Frank's daughters, Adina LoBiondo and Amy LoBiondo and Amy's two children, Joseph and Francesca. Tina is also survived by several cousins, including, Cathy Davis of Reno, NV and John Slywka of Chicago, IL.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing / visitation on Thursday evening, May 8th, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood, NJ 08221.

An additional viewing / visitation will be held on Friday morning, May 9th, from 10 until 11 at The Parish of the Holy Cross / St. Mary's RC Church, 732 Morton Avenue, Rosenhayn, NJ 08352.

The Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11, Friday morning at St. Mary's RC Church.

Tina will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Rosenhayn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to American Humane Society, 1400 16th Street NW, Suite 360, Washington, DC 20036 or to Ventnor Fountain Friends, PO Box 2042, Ventnor, NJ 08406 (ventnorfountainfriends.org).

My condolences to her husband, and all who knew her. I met Tina in junior high. We also went to high school together. She was a beautiful soul, from the get go, as we all know. Gorgeous on the inside, and out. A true angel. Intelligent, kind, down to earth, honest. She defined integrity. Heaven must need an angel. I know this world, was a better place, with her in it. . Amen.
