Tina Tisenchek Obituary
She was born February 2, 1925 in Simpson, Pennsylvania, the youngest child of Logan and Agnes (Kostiska) Panko. She married the love of her life, Andrew Tisenchek, on July 25, 1946. He predeceased her on November 11, 2012.
Tina was a member of St. Mary's Church.
She worked in the credit office at Bresee's Department Store. Prior to that, she worked for several other local businesses in Oneonta.
Tina's life centered on her family, and family meals and birthday celebrations were special times for her. She loved attending Polish festivals, where she and Andrew would dance for hours. Her and Andrew enjoyed going for car rides in the country and shared a love for animals.
She is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Victor) Ronovech of Oneonta, and Karen Hurley of Oneonta; four grandchildren, Jason Ronovech, Sonja Ronovech (Greg Jackson), Matthew Hurley (Wendy Mabie), and Courtney (Matt) Gibson; and six great-grandchildren, Drew, Taylor, Emily, Ian, Andrew and Nathaniel.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Jean Panko of Harwich, MA, two brother-in-laws, Louis (Betty) Tisenchek of Oneonta, and Donald (Linda) Tisenchek of Flat Rock, NC, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Boris and Alex Panko, and sister, Olga Squaires.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their loving care, compassion, professionalism and support.
A funeral service will be offered on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta with the Rev. Scott VanDerveer officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Food Pantry, 39 Walnut St., Oneonta, NY 13820.
Condolences to the family may be made online at www.grummonsfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements are by the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, Oneonta.

I'm Tina's daughter Andrea's stepdaughter Heather and I always remember the Polish festivals we went to when I was a kid, and her kindness towards me. She will be missed.
