Mrs. Tineke Wesselius of Deer Park, NY passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday March 25, 2022. She was 76.
Born in Leewarden, The Netherlands to Age and Martha Walinga, Tineke immigrated to America at the age of 26 where she met her husband of 51 years, Wilbur Wesselius, also from the Netherlands. Their journey began in Lake Hiawatha, then to West Paterson before settling in Vernon, NJ. Together they had 3 daughters and fostered many children whom she always held a special place in heart for. They built their dream home in Wantage, NJ in 1988 where they lived until building their retirement home in 2002 in Deer Park, NY. Known by 2 of her grandchildren as "Little Grandma" and 3 of her grandchildren as "Oma", she had a special relationship with each one and loved them dearly.
Surviving are:
Husband: Wilbur Wesselius at home
daughter: Melissa Sauer and her husband Josef Vernon, NJ
Daughter: Desiree Viggiano and her husband Shawn Wantage, NJ
Daughter: Thirza Wesselius and her husband Antonio Deer Park, NY
Sister: Sjoukje Rering and her husband Eus Leewarden, Netherlands
5 Grandchildren: Kieran Sauer, Maya Sauer, Sierra Viggiano, Aiden Viggiano and Savannah Viggiano
Also many loving nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-In-law.
Visitation will be at GRAY-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, INC. 100 East Main Street Port Jervis on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 12:00 PM from Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis.
Burial will follow at the Clove Cemetery, Sussex, NJ.
