Tobias James Medina passed away on March 7, 2024, far too soon at the age of 27 in Corpus Christi, Texas due to a Motorcycle accident. He was born on April 8, 1996, in Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Glencoe High School in 2014 and shortly after enlisted in the United States ARMY. There Toby served as a four-wheel mechanic from February 2015 until September 2018, including a deployment to Kuwait. He was awarded the ARMY Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. Toby received the ARMY Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon. Toby then attended the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Avondale, Arizona where he pursued his passion of becoming a motorcycle technician specializing in Harley Davidson. Toby started his career at Dead Center Cycles in Lacey, WA before returning to Oregon. He joined the Latus Harley Davidson team (now Volcano Harley Davidson), in Gladstone, OR where he met his love, Cloei. Toby and Cloei moved to Texas shortly thereafter to pursue a job opportunity and an adventure. Toby continued his career at the Corpus Christi Harley Davidson. There Toby found not only a job that he loved, but also he gained a work family.
Tobias was an extraordinary man. He was a quiet humble hero who loved his country, family, friends, pups, and the freedom found in creative self-expression and the roar of a motorcycle. He made every moment count and lived a life he loved and was so loved in return. He was loving, kind, and loyal. He was a protector, a nurturer, a risk taker, and a lover of life. He was quick to laugh, and his chuckle would instantly make you smile. From air guitar solos as a toddler, garage rocker as a teen, to truck karaoke later; he was all heart, soul, and passion. The ocean calmed his worries, riding lit his soul on fire, and music expressed his feelings. Toby showed us all what it means to be gentle whenever possible, to listen more than you speak, to do no harm, but to take absolutely no shit.
Tobias is survived by his love Cloei Mona, Mother Erika Crenshaw, Father James Medina, Stepfather(s) Joaquin Baca, and Timothy Crenshaw, Stepmother Suzette Wolford, Brother Sebastian Baca, Grandfather Jerry Wolles, Grandmothers Betty Holland and Debbie Lukas, Aunts Trista Breitenbauch and Sandy Cordes, Uncles Mikal Medina and Daniel Chandler, Great Aunt Karen Boldt, Great Uncles Hal Boldt and Ernie Dean, Cousins Abigail Cordes, Amanda Cordes, Natalie Allen, Damien Breitenbauch, Jordan Boldt, Jason Boldt, extended family, and countless friends. Toby made an impact on countless lives, will be greatly missed, and will not be forgotten.
