Tobie Clark

Tobie Clark, age 88, peacefully transitioned on December 18, 2025. Born on July 16,1937 in Roanoke, Alabama, was the beloved son of Robert and Octavia Strickland Clark. He was predeceased by his wife Sarah Heard Clark. He was deeply devoted to his family, friends, and church family, cherishing each relationship with love and faith. He retired from the City of Stamford after many years of dedicated service in the Sanitation Department. His legacy of love will be cherished by his son, Gregory K. Clark, three grandchildren; Gregory K. Clark, Jr., Sonyele Clark and Vonché Clark, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Tobie was predeceased by his daughter, Charlotte Clark, grandson; Ta-Mar Clark, five sisters; Grace Davis, Ida Mitchell, Jessie Clark, Mary Robinson and Tabielle Clark, three brothers; Leroy Clark, Solon Clark and Bobbie Clark. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT. Rev. Dr. Andre Bradley, officiant. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Stamford.
