Tod Alan Bryant, 57, of Dover, Florida, passed away on January 1, 2026, after a brief illness. He was born in Hollywood, Florida, on June 14, 1968. Tod graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 1987, after which he proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was later honorably discharged.
In Heaven, Tod joins his beloved father, Jackson Thomas Bryant, and his fur son, Weimaraner Reuger. He is survived by his mother, Carol Bryant; his sister, Lori B. Caldwell (David); his brother, Tom Bryant (Donna); two nieces; one nephew; and one great-niece.
Tod was an Electrical Foreman with B. L. Smith Electric, Inc., and truly enjoyed his field of work. When not working, he could be found at the end of a fishing pole, with a pair of grilling tongs, or helping a friend or neighbor.
The family sincerely and deeply thanks the Critical Care staff at South Florida Baptist Hospital and St. Joseph’s Main Medical ICU, as well as their hospice staff, for their compassionate care.
A Celebration of Life for Tod will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Lakeland, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local hospice agency, as their staffs most certainly are angels in human form.
