Todd Campbell of New York City, formerly of Waltham, sadly left us too soon at the age of 45 on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Todd was born on November 4, 1977, to Judy and George Campbell.
Todd was raised in Waltham where he attended Waltham Public Schools. After high school, he moved to California, where he earned his bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University. He lived and worked there for 18 years before moving back East to realize his dream of living in New York City, where he enjoyed a successful career in Compliance Management.
Todd will be remembered for his incredibly quick wit, unmatched sense of humor, entertaining social-media posts, and his fierce loyalty and love for his friends and family. He was always there to listen or help break an awkward silence or tense situation with a joke.
Todd was compassionate and non-judgmental of others’ ideas and forged his own path since childhood. He made it clear at five years old that he did not share his siblings’ interest in competitive sports and instead chose the performing arts, showcasing his talent in several school plays, as well as Reagle Players, and utilized his comedic skills at comedy clubs in NYC.
Todd truly enjoyed traveling and learning about the uniqueness of other cultures. His favorites included Thailand, Laos, Costa Rica, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. He especially enjoyed his frequent trips to visit friends in Hawaii, which truly filled his heart.
He leaves his parents Judy Ansara Campbell (Steve Peiser) of Waltham and George Campbell (Donna Yerkes) of Holbrook: his sister Maura Campbell Taylor (Joe Lucchese and son Dante); his brother, Brendan Campbell (Michelle) of Waltham; his niece and nephews, Devon, Derian, Caileigh, and Patrick Campbell; his great niece Lily Mae Campbell; his uncle Bo Campbell the late Barbara Campbell, and many loving friends and cousins.
He will also be dearly missed by his English Bulldog Frank, who has a wonderful new caretaker who knew and loved them both. Todd touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will honor Todd’s life by gathering together at Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20,) Waltham, on Friday, March 3rd from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
