Todd Anthony Conner, 58, of Lisbon, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Mount Vernon, Iowa, with a visitation held an hour and a half prior to mass. The burial will be at the Lisbon Cemetery.
Todd was born on October 10, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Francis and Loretta (Supple) Conner.
Todd was a lifelong resident of Lisbon, graduating from Lisbon High School in 1985. Todd subsequently graduated from the University of Iowa. He was a wrestling journalist, covering his beloved Iowa Hawkeye Wrestling Team. Todd greatly loved his family, and a burger or tenderloin at Sutliff was dear to his heart. For years, he fished and trapped with his dad, Francis. Todd was fiercely proud of his Iowa-Irish-Catholic heritage, and his mother Loretta's home-cooked food was held in high esteem. Todd will forever be a "Lisbon Boy."
Todd is survived by his parents; siblings, Julie (Steve) White and Dan (Michelle) Conner; nieces, Alexandra Conner and Shelby Jo (William) Bills; great nieces/nephew, Izzy Ramsey, Savannah Ramsey, Tommy Bills, and Ellie Jo Bills; and step nephew and step niece, Grady Gross and Aisling Gross.
Todd was preceded in death by his nephew, Matthew White.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hawkeye Wrestling Club, 308 East Burlington Street, Box 247, Iowa City, Iowa 52240.
