Todd Hunskor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schellhaas & Sons F.H. & Cremation Svcs., Inc. - Franklin Park from Nov. 21 to Nov. 24, 2025.
Edward Colerich, 84, of Franklin Park, with family at his side, peacefully passed to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Beloved husband of Marilyn (Rippey) Colerich of 62 years; loving father of Kristine Brinsky (Joe), Holly Anderson (Dave), and the late Ed Colerich; cherished Papa of Anabelle Anderson; brother of Carol Joyce, Judi Puder, Grace Brooks, and the late Frank Colerich. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. North Catholic High School graduate, Class of 1959.

Ed thrived throughout his career as a workmen's compensation adjuster and property/casualty litigation specialist at PMA, CNA, and Zurich Insurance. He valued his work, but his greatest joy was always his family whom he loved so much. He enjoyed weekend outings and Sunday drives with the family, and visiting Colonial Williamsburg with his wife. Ed liked the challenge of crossword puzzles and word games (nobody could beat him at Scrabble), sitting on the deck listening to the birds, and watching all kinds of wildlife eat at the feeders he stocked each day. Ed's one passion was cars and he restored several from frame up, including his 1957 Chevy Nomad. His other passion was cooking, preparing five-course meals for dinner parties and holidays.

He loved all of God's creatures, especially several family dogs he rescued from humane societies and his beloved Scottish Terrier, Duffy. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a no-kill animal rescue shelter or humane society.

Per Ed's wish, there will be No viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (Sewickley/Franklin Park)
