Todd McCreight Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 8, 2025.
Todd Stuart McCreight died September 4, 2025, at home. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia, on December 11, 1956, to Betsy Ann Keadle McCreight and Paul Willard McCreight. Growing up, he loved being outside, exploring, designing and building, rock collecting, and playing the piano and organ.

He received his B.A. in architecture from Yale College and a Master's in Business Administration from the Yale School of Management. He was an ardent lover of trees and an environmentalist who worked for energy consulting firms in his early career and then in marketing at Acorn Structures. His later career focused on business management with positions at the National Parks Foundation, Bullis School, and the National Capital Presbytery. One of his passions was gardening and landscape design. He created a beautiful home garden, organized a community garden at Bullis and many plantings of perennials and trees that live on there, and shared his knowledge and time in the gardens of many friends. A devoted member of his church, he served for many years as the chair of the Finance Lay Ministry.

His is survived by his wife, Catherine Lutter, his children Jeffrey and Anna McCreight, his daughter-in-law Ming Hui Tseng, his two granddaughters, and his brother Matthew McCreight.

Memorial service plans are below. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church or the Natural Resources Defense Council.
