Todd Alton Messer, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at the age of 73.
He was born August 1, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Lester and Catherine Messer. Todd attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He worked many years at the Shell Geismar Chemical Plant. Todd attended St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Bishop Ott Men’s Shelter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Catherine Messer; and his companion, Gail Vittur, who passed away earlier this year.
He is survived by his brother, David M. Messer.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of his friends at the Bishop Ott Shelter (3rd Friday Crew).
The family wishes to hold a private service at this time.
