Born in North Kansas City, Missouri, Todd grew up with a love for his family, friends, and community. He was the beloved son of Lane and Jo Anne Minear. Todd found success in his own financial planning business.
On June 17, 2000, he was joined in marriage with Anna Marie Vandeginste. They were blessed with three children: Macy Lane, Tyler Joseph (TJ), and Chance Wollard Minear all of Kansas City, Missouri. He poured his heart into raising his children, encouraging them to follow their dreams and supporting them in every way. In addition to his children, Todd is survived by his parents, Lane and Jo Anne Minear; his siblings, Craig Vance (Sheila) Minear of Grain Valley, Missouri, and Arlys Kay Minear and her significant other, Brian Bettis, of St. Joseph, Missouri; his nephew, Craig Jr., and his grandniece, Scarlet. He was preceded in death by his both sets of grandparents, Joe and Sina Minear, and John and Hilda Atkinson.
Todd was saved several years ago. He was known for his larger-than-life personality, always able to light up a room with his energy and warmth. He never met a stranger, and people often remarked on how genuine and kind he was to everyone he encountered. He was truly one of a kind—his positivity and caring spirit leaving a lasting impression on everyone.
Some of Todd’s happiest moments were spent outdoors, creating cherished memories with family and friends. He loved camping, riding dirt bikes, having cookouts at the pool, and fishing. These simple pleasures brought him immense joy and became a central part of his life. Todd’s hobbies always involved family, reflecting the deep love he had for them. His focus was always on making those moments special.
What Todd loved most in life was his children and family. His unconditional love for them was unwavering. He took immense pride in being a father, and his children were his world. Those who knew him remember him as a devoted, loving parent, always there to support and encourage his kids.
Todd’s legacy of love, kindness, and faith lives on in his children and family. His memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 13, at 1:30 p.m. at Jimtown Cemetery in Queen City, Missouri, with a celebration of life to follow at a later date in Kansas City, Missouri.
