Author "A.T." Tolliver-age 82 of Sharps Chapel went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 13, 2025 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a graduate of Horace Maynard High School, Class of 1961. A. T. was blessed to make a living doing what he loved; working on his farms behind a mule during the day and at night, you'd either find him in the woods coon hunting or sitting around a barrel with a fire in it listening to the fox hounds with all his friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Shirley (England) Tolliver; parents, Andrew and Lillie Tolliver; brother, Dave Tolliver.

He is survived by son, Rev. Buddy Tolliver (Savannah Cole); granddaughter, Heather (Seth) Spradlin; grandson, Todd (Amanda) Tolliver; great-grandchildren, Brylon and Maybrie Spradlin, Kennedy Howerton and Kallie Tolliver. Brothers, Wade Tolliver, Bill (Betty) Tolliver and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025 with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Greg Sharp, Rev. Jason Walker officiating with music by Amanda Tolliver and Savannah Cole. Graveside service 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Sharps Chapel, Rev. Tim Sharp officiating. Please meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. Wednesday to go with the procession. Pallbearers: Todd Tolliver, Buddy Tolliver, Travis Tolliver, Wilk Bowen, Rocky Walker, Phillip Mullins. Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Tolliver, Wade Tolliver and the Deacons of Leatherwood Baptist Church. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
