Tom Beadle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 28 to Mar. 1, 2024.
Thomas Beadle of New Hope, PA, passed away in his home in the early morning hours of January 20th, six days before his 74th birthday. His passing brought final relief to symptoms caused by cancer, years of chronic pain, and the tragic loss of his wife six plus years ago.

Tom was fun, adventurous, generous, charming, and loved to lovingly tease the people in his life whom he cared most about. His playful spirit touched many and left quite the impression.

Tommy grew up in Morrisville and graduated from high school there. After a stint in college, he was drafted by the military and served in the Vietnam War. There he was injured and honorably discharged. More able bodied and fortunate than others in the hospital, he helped other military patients while recovering from his own wounds.

Post Vietnam, Tom went to Florida for Flight School, got his pilot's license, then became an instructor for a time. Following that, Tom began his life-long career of carpentry. Along the way he married Connie Beadle (née Kramer), raised two sons, then divorced in 1985. Tom met (in his words) "the love of his life," Nancy Beadle (nee Nancy Huber) in the early 1990s. In 1997, they bought a house in New Hope and happily lived there until Nancy's tragic, unexpected passing in 2017.

Tom had a strong, exuberant desire to live life. He was passionate about getting out in nature, traveling throughout the U.S.and abroad, and adventuring. At various points in his life he pursued white water rafting, downhill skiing, jet skiing, riding his motorcycle, and camping in his pop-up trailer. His wife, sons, friends of his, and family members were often fortunate enough to be included in these adventures as Tom was a generous, and social individual.

Tom also absolutely loved model (toy) and real life trains. He combined his passion for trains and his handyman skills with Nancy's artist touch and eye to create a museum-worthy model train layout in their basement that he showed off to interested (and sometimes uninterested) house guests.

Tom is survived by his sons Brian and Doug, his daughters in-law Emily Padua and Renee Beadle, his grandkids Milo and Mackenzie (who know him as Poppop), his three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will say a final goodbye at a private, upcoming memorial service.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you consider thinking of a fond memory of Tom, getting outside to enjoy some nature, and/or go on a small (or big adventure). For those who wish to, you could always donate to the Swan Creek Rowing Club Youth Club in which Tom and Nancy were proudly affiliated with.
