In the spirit of celebrating an extraordinary life, we bid a fond farewell to Dwight E. Beadle, Jr., affectionately known as Skip by those who loved him. Born on September 13, 1953, in
Canton, OH, Dwight made the most of every moment until his departure on January 21, 2026. A charismatic soul of many talents, Dwight's compassionate nature was the driving force behind his loving approach to life. His embodiment of the biblical verse, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31) was evident in his interactions with everyone he met.
Dwight was a custodian by profession, having spent his career with the North Canton City Schools. His dedication was recognized with multiple awards throughout his career, testament to his commitment to do the right thing, even when no one was watching. Post-retirement, he served as a driver for CAK airport and Plain local schools, continuing his service to the community. In between, he found joy in riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and singing in the barbershop chorus. As a testament to his charisma, he made friends wherever he went, always the sparkling light in any room.
Dwight and his wife, Deborah, whom he married on July 14, 1972, briefly moved to
West Melbourne, FL, for three years before returning to their home in
Canton, Ohio to be with family. Above all, Dwight cherished his family, including his dogs Wylie, Winston, Wilma, Winnie, and Willow. He is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah, his beloved daughter Nicole (Robert) Bester; his cherished grandchildren Nathan, Madison, and Chloe Bester; his adorable great-grandson Kade Bester; and Siblings Herbert "Kip" Beadle, Donna Beadle-Croston, and Mark (Paula) Beadle. He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Sr., his mother, Gertrude Beadle, his brother-in-law David Croston, and his sister-in-law Cheryl Beadle.
Dwight was a beacon of warmth and love, whose memory will continue to inspire and guide us. We invite you to share your memories and upload photos to the memorial page, celebrating the charismatic, compassionate, loving, and talented man that was Dwight.
