Thomas O. "Tom" Jeffers, 64, of Buffalo went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at his home following a long illness. Tom was a Christian and a member of Barnett Chapel Church. He was a retired operating engineer and member of Operating Engineers Local # 132.
Born January 6, 1960 in Grimms Landing, he was the son of the late Charles Jeffers and Ethel Jeffers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two unborn children; his brothers, Bill, Buck, Joe, and George Jeffers; his sisters, Ruth Jeffers and Donna Bailes; and two infant sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Betty Darlene Jeffers; step-daughter, Michelle Craig; grandchildren, Ashley Craig, Ashtyn Burks, and Ayden Bennett; great-grandchildren, Kayser, Kolter, and Adalynn; brothers, Paul (Paula) Jeffers, Pete (Jannette) Jeffers; sister-in-law, Karen "Sissy" Jeffers; special friend, Joe Whittington; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation for the public will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Raynes Funeral Home Buffalo. A private family service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, with Pastor Carl Bailes and Pastor Randy Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Craig Cemetery, Grimms Landing.
