Tom Lindert Obituary

Tom Lindert passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 18, 2025, at the age of 55.

Tom enjoyed listening to music in all forms. He attended hundreds of concerts throughout his life, sometimes journaling his reviews afterwards, keeping many of his ticket stubs over the course of his life. Tom was also a mainstay at Summerfest each year. He enjoyed spending time down at the festival grounds, sometimes catching 3, 4, or 5 acts in an evening as he strolled the stages. During Summerfest, you always knew where you could catch up with Tom!!

For many years, Tom followed in his father's footsteps, working as warehouseman for Roundy's Corporation. He was proud when his oldest son got a part-time job at Pick n' Save this past summer, as he felt that there were now three generations that had worked for the same company. Tom loved spending time with his sons. He enjoyed watching Will play football, and shopping for trading cards with him, and he cheered Jack on during many volleyball and baseball games over the years. Tom's children will truly miss their dad's silly sense of humor, playing ping pong and basketball with him, as well as his opinionated take on life.

Tom leaves behind two amazing sons, Jack and William, whom he loved dearly. Tom also leaves behind his sisters, Sharon Lindert (Jay Knaust), and Marcia Struckmeyer (Tom), nieces Rochelle Brantley (William), Amie Struckmeyer, Angie Melum (Brad), Ray Lindert, and Savannah Lindert, as well as a great niece, Lily, whom he enjoyed making laugh and giggle. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, John and Donna Lindert, and his brother, John Lindert.

Tom and his ex-wife Jill Lindert (Chris Eull) remained friends, as they continued to raise their two beautiful boys together. Tom would find joy and peace knowing that his boys would continue to be raised by lots of loving family and friends, and that they would continue to thrive and grow as young men over the coming years.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Tom, to occur on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM, at Schmidty's Bar and Grill in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Please come if you are able, for as little or as long as you would like. Tom would enjoy the whole group getting together one more time!!
