Tom Rouse Obituary
Salem - Tom Rouse, age 82, of Salem, died on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Aultman Hospital, Canton.
He was born on June 3, 1941, in Leetonia, the son of the late Ronald and Pauline Long Rouse.
Thomas Jay Rouse was the most stubborn man you would ever meet, but anyone who crossed his path was beyond lucky to have known such an amazing person. Before he retired, he had an honorable career in the US Navy followed by some factory work. Earlier in life he had his golfing and his collection of lost golf balls that was far greater than any one person would ever need. Then after his stroke around the age of sixty, he had his chair and his tv.
Through it all he had his wife, Kathy Rouse; two children Steven Rouse and Kim (Mike) Hoffman; a sister Marie Russell; and eventually three grandchildren, Sarah, Olivia, and Sean. They were all lucky to have such an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, because, despite his unyielding stubbornness, he was the most generous and loving man in their lives. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him, but he's sure to be watching over them from above while he sits around a table with his beloved siblings who preceded him in death, Ed John Rouse, Ronnie Jim Rouse, and Patricia "Skip" DiBlasio, playing yet another game of poker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor William Wilkins officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
