Tomas Bencomo Sr., 63, of Waggaman, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1962, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to the late Jesus Bencomo and the late Esperanza Galaviz, and built a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to his family.
Tomas was the beloved husband of the late Debra Bencomo, and a proud father to Juanita (Gerardo), Tomas Jr. (Candice), and Elyssia. He was a cherished grandfather to Alejandro, Leyla, Araceli, Gabriela, Abigail, Tomas, and Adalia. Tomas was one of twelve children, and is survived by his 11 brothers and sisters, who will remember him for his humor, generosity, and heartfelt loyalty.
Those who knew Tomas will remember his deep love for his family, his strong work ethic, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. He was a kind, selfless, and loving man whose life was centered around caring for others. He gave without hesitation, loved without condition, and faced life’s challenges with quiet strength.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and countless friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Saturday, August 16, 20025 from 9AM until 11AM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, Louisiana.
