Tomeka Anetra Waye was born on January 31, 1975 to Annette Stanley and Gary Roberts in Brunswick, Ga. She attended Westlake High School in Atlanta, Ga. Tomeka accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Word of Faith Church in Eastpoint, Ga. where she served faithfully until her health began to fail.

Tomeka passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Community Hospice and Palliative Care in Fernandina Beach, Fl. surrounded by her loving family members. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bernard Stanley; her grandparents, Curtis and Madeline Waye, as well as Lois Roberts.

Those left to cherish her memories: her loving son, Jaylen Mitchell; her loving and devoted mother, Annette Stanley; her father, Gary Roberts; her sister, Antoinette (Obie) Erondy; her brother, Cory (Joy) Waye; her nephews, Cory, Jr., Kurtis and Caden Waye, Joshua, Jacob and Noah Erondu; her close friends, Coy Gaines, Nia Lee, Nabeehah Rasheed and Johnola Asberry; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends who will certainly miss her dearly.

There will not be a wake/visitation on Friday, September 26, 2025. Remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 @11:00 a.m. at Georgia Avenue Church of God, 740 North Georgia Avenue Kingsland, Ga. 31548, Bishop Arthur Dawson, Pastor.

Repast will be held at Evergreen Life Center, 1365 Kinlaw Road, Woodbine, Ga.31569 immediately following services.

*There will be a private disposition following services.

We suggest anyone wishing to view services at a later date to save services on their personal devices as it will only remain on the website and available for 30 days following the date of services.
